The Ole Miss Football Coach Golding 2025-2026 New Hoodie marks a historic turning point for the University of Mississippi football program. On November 30, 2025, the athletic department announced that Pete Golding would become the 40th head coach in the program’s storied history, succeeding Lane Kiffin. This limited-edition apparel is designed to commemorate this monumental transition and the beginning of a new chapter for Rebel Nation, as Golding immediately led the team into a highly anticipated College Football Playoff run.

The Rise of Pete Golding: From Guru to Head Coach

Before his promotion to head coach, Pete Golding spent three seasons as the defensive coordinator at Ole Miss, where he transformed the “Landshark D” into one of the most feared units in the SEC. Under his guidance, the 2024 defense set program records with 52 sacks and 120 tackles for loss, proving his elite defensive mind. His defensive units consistently ranked among the nation’s best, holding opponents to an average of just 18.5 points per game throughout his tenure in Oxford.

Golding’s promotion was a clear signal of the university’s commitment to continuity and excellence. As a former standout player and coach at Delta State, he became the first former Statesman to lead a Division I Power 4 program, a testament to his rapid climb through the coaching ranks. This hoodie serves as a tribute to his relentless energy and the vision he brings to the Ole Miss Rebels.

Commemorating the Historic 12-Win 2025 Season

The 2025-2026 season will forever be etched in the memories of fans as the year Ole Miss achieved its first-ever 12-win season. In his first game at the helm, Coach Golding guided the No. 6 Rebels to a dominant 41–10 victory over No. 11 Tulane in the College Football Playoff First Round. This victory at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium was a statement win, fueled by an efficient offense led by Trinidad Chambliss and a stifling defense that recorded four tackles for loss and forced key turnovers.

• Elite Milestones: The 2025 squad finished the regular season with an 11–1 record before capturing the program’s first CFP win.

• Defensive Prowess: Under Golding’s final season as DC and first as HC, the defense ranked No. 3 in the SEC in pass defense, yielding only 182.6 yards per game.

• Postseason Glory: The win over Tulane propelled the Rebels into a Sugar Bowl appearance, solidifying their status as a national title contender.

Design Excellence: A Fusion of Tradition and Modern Style

The Coach Golding 2025-2026 New Hoodie features a design that is both classic and forward-looking. The deep navy blue fabric is a nod to the university’s long-standing colors, while the graphics represent the current “Generation O” aesthetic.

• Front Detail: The hoodie showcases a bold “OLE MISS” arch in high-density print, flanked by the official SEC logo and the 2025-26 College Football Playoff First Round patch.
