The world of professional hockey collides with the heartwarming nostalgia of Pixar’s most celebrated franchise in a spectacular display of team spirit and childhood wonder. The Peoria Rivermen have announced a headline event that promises to take fans “to infinity and beyond.” Scheduled for Saturday, January 17, the highly anticipated Disney Jersey Night will feature players donning the exclusive Peoria Rivermen x Toy Story Disney Jersey Night Special Hockey Jersey. This limited-edition garment is a vibrant celebration of friendship, adventure, and the enduring legacy of the Toy Story saga, perfectly translated onto a high-performance athletic uniform.

A Carnival of Characters on the Front

The front of this special edition jersey is a visual feast, transforming the traditional hockey sweater into a canvas of cinematic storytelling. Set against a deep, midnight blue background, the design immerses the viewer in a lively carnival scene, complete with a lit-up Ferris wheel glowing in the distance. This backdrop sets the stage for an ensemble cast of beloved characters that dominate the lower half of the jersey.

Leading the pack is the iconic sheriff, Woody, standing tall with a welcoming tip of his hat. He is flanked by the legendary Space Ranger, Buzz Lightyear, and the adventurous shepherdess, Bo Peep. But the design does not stop at the main trio; it features a comprehensive gathering of the toy box’s finest. Fans will delight in spotting detailed illustrations of Rex the dinosaur, Hamm the piggy bank, the squeaky alien trio, Slinky Dog, and even the daring stuntman Duke Caboom on his motorcycle. The lovable, nervous energy of Forky is also captured front and center, adding a touch of modern whimsy to the group.

Hovering above this gathering is the Peoria Rivermen logo, uniquely stylized within a nautical wheel to blend with the team’s riverboat heritage while anchoring the busy design with professional authority.

Intricate Sleeve Details and Patterns

The sleeves of the Toy Story Special Hockey Jersey are designed to maintain the festive atmosphere of the carnival theme. A repeating pattern of red bunting flags wraps around the arms, creating a garland effect that evokes the feeling of a fairground celebration. interspersed between these festive flags are white silhouettes, appearing to depict the famous “Bucket o’ Soldiers” or other character outlines, marching in formation against the navy fabric.

Functionality meets style with the inclusion of large, white sleeve numbers (displayed as “0”), which are bold and easy to read, ensuring that players are identifiable from the highest seats in the arena. The cuffs are finished with a solid navy band, providing a clean, athletic look that balances the intricate patterns above.

Falling with Style on the Reverse

The back of the jersey offers a dynamic shift in perspective, focusing on action and customization. The lower back features a high-energy graphic of Woody and Buzz Lightyear in mid-air—a perfect homage to their famous “falling with style” moment. They are joined again by Forky and appear to be leaping from the back of a carnival truck or RV, adding a sense of motion and excitement that mirrors the fast-paced nature of a hockey game.

Above this action scene, the jersey provides ample space for personal expression. A customizable nameplate allows fans to emblazon “YOUR NAME” in bold white block letters, making every supporter feel like part of the roster. The center is dominated by a massive number “00”, rendered in white with a thick blue outline to pop against the dark background.

Official Branding and Collector’s Appeal

Authenticity is stamped along the bottom hem, where the official Disney/Pixar Toy Story logo sits proudly alongside the SPHL (Southern Professional Hockey League) shield, certifying this as genuine league merchandise. Whether you are a dedicated collector of game-worn jerseys or a family looking to celebrate Disney Jersey Night in style, this apparel captures the magic of movies and the thrill of sports in one cohesive package. It is a reminder that, much like the Rivermen on the ice, the toys are always there for each other.
