On the crest of the hill in Bowling Green, a tradition of excellence has been building for over a century. To be a Hilltopper is to belong to a community defined by spirit, resilience, and the waving of the Red Towel. As Western Kentucky University approaches a historic 118th year of gridiron action, there is now a vessel worthy of that legacy. The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers Football 118th Anniversary Whiskey Glass is a premium collector’s piece designed for the fan whose heart beats in rhythm with the fight song.

Celebrating 118 Years on The Hill: 1908-2026

Since the first kickoff in 1908, WKU football has been more than a game; it is a unifying force for students, alumni, and the entire region. This commemorative whiskey glass serves as a tangible timeline of that journey, marking the era from the program’s humble beginnings to its upcoming 118th anniversary in 2026.

The design of the glass is a masterclass in storytelling. Front and center sits the iconic WKU Red Towel logo, the symbol of the university’s fighting spirit, rendered in vibrant red, white, and black. Above the logo, a classic ribbon banner proclaims “Western Kentucky Hilltoppers,” evoking the vintage collegiate aesthetic of the early 20th century. A detailed football graphic and the text “EST. 1908” anchor the design, reminding every drinker of the deep roots of the program.

A Tribute Carved in Glass: The Spirit of the Hill

What truly separates this premium rocks glass from standard merchandise is the intricate relief work at the base. The bottom of the glass features a beautifully etched mountainous landscape, a literal representation of “The Hill” that every student and fan knows so well. As you pour your bourbon or whiskey, the liquid settles into the valleys of this relief, creating a stunning visual effect that grounds the glass in the geography of Bowling Green.

Adding a touch of unique elegance, a vibrant purple flower is illustrated on the side, softening the rugged sports aesthetic with a nod to the natural beauty of the Kentucky landscape. Whether you are drinking a fine Kentucky bourbon or a simple iced tea, the heavy, weighted base ensures the glass feels substantial in your hand—solid, enduring, and tough, just like the team it represents.

The Red Box: Unboxing “Go Tops!” Pride

The presentation of this collectible is designed to impress from the moment it is received. The glass is housed in a striking, matte red presentation box that immediately signals team loyalty. The front of the box features the WKU logo and the proud declaration: “Western Kentucky Hilltoppers”.

Beneath the team name, the significance of the moment is highlighted with the text “118th ANNIVERSARY 1908-2026”. But it is the rallying cry at the bottom—“Go Tops!”—that will bring a smile to any fan’s face. This packaging transforms a simple piece of glassware into a ceremonial object, perfect for display on a shelf, desk, or amidst a collection of game-day memorabilia.
